The Baudin, Haiti Dental Mission
We are an independent group of people who go to a community in the mountains of Haiti to provide dental care. We have been going to Baudin for 13 years, have built a small, but very functional, dental clinic and have 3 trips per year in which we put together a group to go for 8 days and operate the clinic.

We are an independent group of people who go to a community in the mountains of Haiti to provide dental care. We have been going to Baudin since 1996, have built a small, but very functional, dental clinic and have 3 trips per year in which we put together a group to go for 8 days and operate the clinic.

The groups are a mix of volunteers with dental backgrounds as well as people without any training.

Volunteers pay their own expenses and the mission is sustained by contributions and financial backing from Dr. Schubert.

Dr. Schubert has gone on all the trips and has been joined by Dr. Patrick Blaney and Dr. Paul Denemark.

Baudin, Haiti

Baudin is a rural mountain community about 40 miles to the interior of the capital, Port-Au-Prince. There are approximately 40,000 people in the parish which is spread out in the nearby mountains.

Like most of Haiti’s 7,000,000 people, most of the people in Baudin are poor peasant farmers and battle the daily struggle for survival. They are hard-working, warm, passionate in expressing themselves, and have an enviable spirit of family and community.

The center of the community is the church and school. The parish priest hosts the group, providing food and beds in the rectory.
